Open Day

Weekend Madrasah Open Day – Sunday 30th August Join us for the Weekend Madrasah Open Day from 12:00–14:00, with a special presentation by the Principal at 13:45. The Madrasah offers Qur’an, Islamic Studies and Classical Arabic, with highly qualified teachers and small class sizes of up to 12 students. About

About the Masjid

Masjid Darul Sunnah is a place of worship, learning and gathering for the Muslim community on Welford Road, Leicester.

The masjid is open for the five daily congregational prayers and for Jumu'ah, and runs Islamic education for children, weekly youth circles and community programmes through the year. It serves the families of the Welford Road neighbourhood alongside Muslim students at WQE College and the University of Leicester.

Iqra Academy

Islamic education for children and young people is delivered at the masjid by Iqra Academy — Qur'an, Arabic and Tarbiyah taught by qualified male and female teachers in small classes.

  • Weekend Madrasah — Saturday & Sunday, 9am–12pm

  • Arabic taught from the beginning, suitable for non-native speakers
